On 20 March 2024, the Mining and Energy Union applied for a regulated labour hire arrangement order (C2024/1686).
The application was made under section 306E of the Fair Work Act 2009 and seeks a regulated labour hire arrangement order that covers:
- Skilled Workforce Solutions (NSW) Pty Ltd as the employer
- employees of Skilled Workforce Solutions (NSW) Pty Ltd who perform work at the Mount Pleasant Operation near Muswellbrook (NSW) as regulated employees
- Thiess Pty Ltd as the regulated host
- the Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation Enterprise Agreement 2023 as the host employment instrument.
