After we make a decision in a case, either side may apply for permission to appeal. Most appeals follow the same process unless the Appeal Bench changes it by direction or order.

1 Start the process to appeal
Within 21 days of the original decision, you can apply for permission to appeal. Submit the Notice to appeal and the appeal book. At this point, you become the ‘appellant’.

- You may apply for a stay order to ask us to pause the original decision.
