Audio recordings request form

Parties to a case or their representatives may ask us for access to an audio recording of their hearing. We will only give you access if your request is approved by the Commission Member who heard the case. You will be notified if your request is refused.

Privacy notice

The personal information we collect in the Audio recordings request form will be used to process your request. If you do not provide the requested information we may not be able to process your request. If your request is approved, we will send the form to Epiq, the Commission’s transcript and audio provider, so that they can provide you with access to the audio recording. Your personal information will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose.

The Commission's Privacy policy contains information about how the Commission uses and discloses personal information it collects, including how a person may request access to or correction of their personal information.

Audio recording terms of use *

You must agree to these terms of use before we will give you access to the recording:

  1. Access to a Commission audio recording is for my personal use only.
  2. I will not use a Commission audio recording for any commercial purpose, or cause the audio recording to be used for any commercial purpose.
  3. Copyright of a Commission audio recording is retained by the Commonwealth of Australia.
  4. An audio recording of Commission proceedings does not constitute the official record of the proceedings.
  5. I will not record, copy or modify a Commission audio recording, and will not cause an audio recording to be recorded, copied or modified.
  6. I will not broadcast or otherwise publish, distribute, post or transmit, including via any online method, an audio recording of Commission proceedings, and will not cause a Commission audio recording to be broadcast or otherwise published, distributed, posted or transmitted.
  7. I will not provide my audio portal login details to any other person, or make these details known to any other person.
  8. Non-compliance with these terms of use may result in suspension or cancellation of my access to the audio recording or expose me to legal liability.
