Application to extend the default period for the Kazzi Group – Employee Collective Agreement
2006-2011
[1] Pursuant to subitem 20A(4) of Sch 3 to the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and
Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 (Cth) (the Act), MJ & R Kazzi Pty Ltd and MJ Kazzi
Pty Ltd T/A Oporto Eastern Creek, Oporto Parramatta and Oporto Padstow (Applicant) has
applied to extend the default period for the Kazzi Group – Employee Collective Agreement
2006-2011 (the Agreement).
[2] The application seeks an extension from 6 December 2023, the date the Agreement
would have expired in accordance with item 20A(1) of Sch 3, until 1 June 2024 to allow time
to finalise a replacement agreement. We consider it reasonable to grant the extension.
[3] Pursuant to item 20A(6) of Sch 3 to the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and
Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 (Cth), we order that the default period for the Agreement
is extended until 1 June 2024.
